As long as you are using the same character without changing any of its part or geometry, you can retouch it with the sculpting tools and create morphs that can be stored in the Morph Catalog (refer to morph and to Catalog in the Users's Manual). You can then preview the morphing in QUIDAM and export each morph to use them as blendshapes (or morph targets) in Maya...
For what is regarding Maya, the best is to ask advanced Maya users, many people will help you here on the forum or on Maya Forums.
